Broadway Lives in My Heart

The other night I was going through some boxes of books and old things when I happened upon some Playbills and programs from my last trip to New York City. Because I love dancing, seeing shows on Broadway gives me a boost. It’s like a natural high that I can’t find any other way. On my last trip I saw two shows, but then I got to thinking back to all of the musicals and shows that I have seen and how they inspired me.  Here are a few of the shows that I have seen, and a little bit about how much I absolutely loved them.

As a dancer, I obviously have a desire to watch every single dance related movie that is advertised on television.  Yes, that means I have watched Step Up 1, 2, and 3, and I have even watched all of the Bring It On movies.  Despite that there are so many dance themed movies out there–and most don’t do it for me–I still want to watch all that I can.

Take Care This Summer

When summer comes along, that typically means that dancers audition to perfect their art even more so at intense summer sessions in large cities.  It is more than admirable that you did forego your sweet summer vacation in order to learn more and improve upon your talents, but for some, these training sessions may cause some worries.  This holds especially true in the event that you have an injury, become tired physically, become overwhelmed, or even disappointed.  When these challenges and worries come about, if you know how to properly handle them, you will still get the most out of your training.  So learn how to deal with these things, and you will be good to go, for sure.
